New River Community and Technical College opened the doors to students in January, 2015. The center’s co-location with the Erma Byrd Center provides a unique opportunity for collaborative learning and cooperative education. The building was designed as a shared-use facility with an emphasis on technology, business and healthcare programs.

The center includes an Allied Health Technology Center and also serves as the Administrative Headquarters of the college. The design and organization of the facility enhances connectivity opportunities between the Erma Byrd Center and visually with the panoramic vistas to the North.
